The largest independent curtain retailer in the UK, Alexander Furnishings has been operating from the same base for nearly 50 years. Famous for curtaining, they also sell upholstery fabric and wallpapers and trimmings. There's always a discount on fabrics and the biggest bargains are the discontinued lines which can be discounted by up to 50%. There is also a trimming shop on the premises and sofas and sofabeds are on sale. Fabric prices can start as low as £1.95 and there is a vast selection below £10 but this varies over the year. They also offer a curtain and blind making service, with free estimates.
