Curtain Transfer is a treasure trove of secondhand curtains and upmarket furnishing accessories - pictures, mirrors, lamps and lampshades, throws and rugs. Goods are accepted on sale-or-return agency terms - plain weaves, damasks, linen and silk curtains are especially welcome. Over 200 pairs of lined of interlined curtains are imaginatively hung in an old stable opposite the owner's home. Brands vary but normally include Monkwell, GP & J Baker, Osborne & Little, Designers Guild and Sanderson. All goods are second hand at second-hand prices. Phone for directions: Back Tewit Well Road is off South Drive, behind Tewit Well Road, which runs parallel with the Leeds Road on the south side of the town centre. Children are welcome and parking is in the yard.
