London's most famous vintage clothes store is situated on two floors. One floor is devoted totally to jewellery, handbags, scarves, shoes and accessories, the other floor to American vintage and European couture clothing from the Twenties and Thirties to the Seventies. Some of the more interesting items were worn by movie stars of the Thirties and Forties and the garment is often seen on the original wearer in photographs around the shop. Popular with those looking for something unusual for a theme evening or a gala event, it's also frequented by those searching for an individual look in a style and quality unmatched even by couture designers today. Here, you can find Halston suede button-through dresses from the Seventies alongside heavily beaded cardigans from the Fifties, Pucci shirts and Gucci bags, bias-cut slips from the Thirties, shirtwaisters from the Seventies, Fortuny gowns and Ossie Clark outfits. There is also a selection of men's clothes.
